Former Big Brother Naija reality TV show housemate, Venita Akpofure, offers advice to young individuals,, urging people to avoid getting married at a young age. The divorcee and mother of two emphasized the importance of enjoying one’s youth before committing to marriage, stating during an interview on ‘The Big Friday Show’ hosted by Tacha, “Don’t marry young. Be young, enjoy your life, when you’re tired, get married.”
When questioned about the appropriate age for marriage, Venita asserted that she would disapprove if her daughter expressed interest in marrying below the age of 28. She explained, “Anything below 28, it’s a no because you’re going to change your mind, and you don’t know all of who you are at 20 something. Don’t get me wrong, there are people who are mature, but you need to try different things in life, different experiences to be sure you want to be stuck there cos it’s handcuff.”
Venita also shared her perspective on an ideal marriage, advocating for spouses to live separately, emphasizing the need for personal space. Regarding her relationship with fellow Big Brother Naija star, Adekunle, Venita clarified that they are no longer dating.
