Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has taken immediate action by dissolving the State Executive Council, ordering cabinet members to hand over official property to Permanent Secretaries or senior administrative officers. The announcement was made through a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Wednesday.
Aiyedatiwa expressed his gratitude to all aides, including Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs), for their contributions to the development of Ondo State. The affected officials are instructed to promptly hand over all government properties in their possession.
The dissolution comes after Governor Aiyedatiwa assumed office following the demise of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in December. The state had witnessed a crisis between Akeredolu’s camp and that of his predecessor, ultimately addressed by President Bola Tinubu’s intervention, though with no desired resolution.
