Chairman House Committee on Sports Tips Super Eagles For AFCON Final

Hon. Ekene Abubakar Adams, Chairman of the House Committee on Sports, praised the Super Eagles for advancing to the knockout stage of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The sports administrator commended the team’s performance, noting their unbeaten record in the group stage and their resilience in the tournament.

After defeating Guinea Bissau in their final group game, Adams, a former General Manager of Remo Stars, stated that the three-time winners are on the right path and have shown improvement in each game. He described the team as resilient, patriotic, and dedicated, expressing confidence in their ability to reach the final.

While acknowledging the upcoming challenge against West African rival Cameroon in the round of 16, Adams urged the Super Eagles to maintain their momentum and stay focused for a successful campaign in the tournament. The crucial match against Cameroon is scheduled for Saturday in Abidjan, with a place in the quarterfinals at stake.
