Equatorial Guinea dominated the host, Cote D’Ivoire, with a 4-0 victory in a game played simultaneously with Nigeria’s match.
This outcome practically eliminates the Ivorians from the tournament as they miss the chance to secure the ‘best loser’s ticket to the next round due to the number of goals conceded.
