A fatal accident involving a passenger bus traveling from Kano to Markudi resulted in 16 deaths and four serious injuries. The incident occurred at Taban Sani Junction on the Zaria-Kano expressway around 11:30 am on Sunday.
According to Kabir Nadabo, the sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) in Kaduna, the driver was over-speeding and lost control of the vehicle, crashing into a ditch.
The injured were taken to Makarfi General Hospital in Kaduna, while the deceased were deposited at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Shika-Zaria.
The FRSC is conducting investigations into the tragic incident.
