Qatar Foundation Plans 500,000 Houses for Indigents in Kaduna

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna has announced that the Qatar Charity Foundation plans to construct 500,000 houses for indigent individuals in Chikun Local Government Area.

During an inspection at the Sanabil mass housing project, he noted 100 houses are already underway, with plans for additional phases.

The initiative includes establishing farmland and a poultry farm to provide sustainable livelihoods.

Governor Sani expressed gratitude for Qatar Charity’s generous grant, highlighting their diverse collaborations in healthcare, assistance to orphans, and support for small businesses.

The Qatar Charity Foundation’s interventions extend beyond housing, including borehole construction to enhance water supply and sanitation in rural areas.

Governor Sani emphasized the collaborative efforts with international partners and announced Kaduna State as the first in Nigeria to benefit from Kuwait funds, addressing the issue of out-of-school children.
