The Maersk Edirne, the largest container ship ever to dock in Nigeria, has successfully berthed at Lekki Port, the country’s deepest seaport.
The cargo ship is part of the CMA CGM WAX service and will sail between major ports in Abidjan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Xiamen, Singapore, and Lekki Port.
With an overall length of 366 meters and a width of 48 meters, the Maersk Edirne has a capacity of 13,092 TEUs.
The successful docking marks a significant milestone for Lekki Port and the maritime industry in Nigeria.
