President Bola Tinubu’s administration has relocated the corporate headquarters of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) from Abuja to Lagos.
The move, announced by FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mrs Obiageli Orah, followed extensive consultations with stakeholders, including unions. The decision aims to address logistical challenges and financial implications associated with operating in Abuja, where adequate office space was unavailable.
FAAN assures the public that operational offices in Abuja remain unaffected, and the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, is committed to optimizing public resources for the benefit of the country. Future plans include constructing suitable offices in both Lagos and Abuja through concessionaires, with the final decision on the permanent headquarters pending.
The authority emphasizes its dedication to serving the public and acting in the country’s best interest.
