As the African Beach Volleyball qualifier looms, Coach Francis Imoudu of the Nigerian team is not solely focused on securing qualification but is setting his sights on clinching a medal at the upcoming games.

The Nigerian contingent, accompanied by the technical crew, embarked on their journey to Accra, Ghana, the host city for the qualifier, departing from the shores of the country on Wednesday.

Coach Imoudu, with a determined outlook, highlighted Nigeria’s consistent presence in the competition since the sport’s inclusion in the African Games. Expressing confidence, he revealed the team’s aspiration to secure yet another qualification for the prestigious event.

“The medical team has been up to the task, so we don’t have the AFCON experience,” he assured, underlining the team’s readiness and preparation to avoid setbacks commonly associated with major competitions.

The African Games, scheduled to take place from the 8th to the 23rd of March 2024 in Accra, Ghana, present a significant opportunity for the Nigerian Beach Volleyball team to not only extend their streak of participation but to elevate their performance and contend for a coveted medal.
