The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have entered a partnership to strengthen the enforcement of compulsory insurance in the force.

The collaboration progressive initiative was reached yesterday when the Commissioner for Insurance/Chief Executive Officer of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Sunday Thomas, paid a courtesy visit to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

Speaking at the occasion, Thomas said the visit was to explore ways of strengthening collaboration with the police in the areas of enforcement of compulsory insurance.

“This has become necessary given the importance of insurance to the country, the police and the general public, especially at this difficult time,” he said.

The Inspector General of Police of the Nigeria Police Force, Kayode Egbetokun appreciated the support of NAICOM in ensuring the NPF and promised to work closely with the Commission to deepen the relationship between the two organisations.
