The Governor of Gombe State, Mr. Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, hosted the management team of the Nigeria Satellite Limited (NigComSat) at the Gombe Governor’s lodge in Abuja. The delegation, led by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Jane Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, discussed potential collaboration for technological advancement.
Governor Inuwa expressed a strong commitment to fostering a partnership with NigComSat to leverage technology for a more digitally advanced future for Gombe State. He highlighted technology’s crucial role in economic development, stating that Gombe is well-positioned to benefit from the reliable internet services provided by NigComSat.
Governor Inuwa sees technology as the driving force behind economic development and hopes that a strategic alliance with NigComSat will stimulate innovation and advancements, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, education, health, and enterprises.
Egerton-Idehen assured the governor that NigComSat is committed to meeting the mandates set by the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy. She emphasized the agency’s objective to provide universal, ubiquitous, and cost-effective access to communication infrastructure throughout Nigeria. The initiative aims to revolutionize the utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) across various sectors, including agriculture, education, health, and enterprises.
