Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna and the winner of a previous season of Big Brother Naija, has addressed the skepticism surrounding her assertion of turning down a N5 million offer for sex at a nightclub. Phyna shared this revelation on her podcast, Spill With Phyna, sparking varied reactions and even disbelief from some, including her colleague DeeOne, who challenged her to provide evidence.
In a recent interview on Cool FM Nigeria, hosted by Tacha, Phyna responded to those questioning her account. She confidently stated that those doubting her were likely doing so because they found the offer too tempting. She went on to assert that rejecting N5 million was an easy decision for her, as she considers that amount to be “change.”
Phyna emphasized that N5 million is an amount she can easily make within the comfort of her own home, stating, “Even if I were a normal poor girl, you can’t just walk up to me just like that, you want to kill me? What do you want to do? What’s so special about me that you want to give me N5 million just like that?”
Her bold response aims to reaffirm her stance and dispel any doubts about her claim, while also asserting her financial independence and confidence in making money on her own terms. This situation adds another layer to the ongoing discussions around personal boundaries, financial empowerment, and the dynamics of fame in the entertainment industry.
