Chidi Amadi, Chief of Staff to Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has resigned.

The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Joseph Johnson, confirmed the resignation, stating that Governor Fubara would announce a replacement in due course.

This marks the 10th resignation of Wike’s loyalists from Fubara’s administration amid the political crisis between Fubara and his estranged political godfather.

Calls have been made for the appointment of Edison Ehie, a former factional Speaker, as the new Chief of Staff, citing his support during a plot by 27 lawmakers to impeach Fubara.
