The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has taken decisive action by ordering additional personnel deployment on the Abuja-Kaduna expressway in response to the escalating security concerns in the region. In a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Thursday in Abuja, it was emphasized that this deployment aims to fortify safety and security along the critical transportation artery.
Recognizing the paramount importance of securing the route, the I-G has intensified the deployment of police officers and advanced security resources. This strategic move leverages technology and strategic resources to strengthen the overall security infrastructure along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway, as articulated by ACP Adejobi.
To ensure effective implementation, Egbetokun has directed the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Ede Ekpeji, in charge of Operations, to meticulously supervise the personnel assigned for operations on the route. The proactive measure is designed to reassure citizens and travelers about their safety, with the heightened security presence acting as a deterrent to criminal elements.
