Bandits have abducted a director in the Zamfara State Ministry of Finance, Malam Sabiu, his wife, and two children in the early hours of Tuesday.
The incident occurred in Damba Housing Estate, Gusau.
Armed with sophisticated weapons, the bandits specifically targeted Sabiu’s house, broke in, and abducted the family.
They later released Sabiu’s wife due to ill health.
The area, part of Gusau town, has faced multiple bandit attacks over the years, leading to increased concerns and relocation of residents.
The police spokesperson in the state, Yazid Abubakar, could not be reached for comment.
