The Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has revealed that some individuals, especially youths, are resorting to unusual substances like human urine preserved for days, lizard dung, camel urine, Lipton soaked in gin, and other unconventional items as alternatives to hard drugs.

The NDLEA commander of narcotics in Borno, Iliyasu Mani, expressed concern over the prevalent abuse of psychoactive substances among youths, stating that these substances pose significant challenges.

The agency is actively working on prevention strategies, including the establishment of a remodelled counselling/rehab center within the Borno state command premises.
