Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are currently engaged in a search operation at the Dangote Group’s Lagos head office, focusing on forex allocations during Godwin Emefiele’s tenure as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Dele Oyewale, the spokesperson for the EFCC, has officially confirmed this ongoing investigation. As reported by SaharaReporters on Tuesday, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery recently welcomed its fourth shipment comprising one million barrels of bonny light crude oil, provided by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL).
This latest delivery marks the fourth installment out of the anticipated six million barrels of crude oil destined for the world’s largest single-train refinery, the Dangote Refinery. It’s noteworthy that prior to this, the refinery had already received three million barrels of crude oil.
