The federal government’s 50% transportation rebate palliative, announced by President Bola Tinubu’s administration to relieve Nigerians during the festive season, saw 128 road transport passengers on northern routes receiving the refund of 50% of their fares.
The Association of Luxury Bus Owners (ALBON) extended part of its mandate to passengers traveling with the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), reimbursing 50% of their fares.
The Chairman of ALBON’s Task Force, Chief Clement Okuefuna, personally conducted the disbursement in cash at the Area 1 Motor Park in Abuja.
The palliative covers routes to the north and is applicable until January 4, 2024.
