Senator Shehu Sani expressed admiration for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts in revitalizing the dormant Port Harcourt refinery, reinstating it into optimal operations as a strategic move to mitigate the impact of subsidy removal.
Taking to his Twitter handle @ShehuSani, the senator commended the initiation of operations at the Port Harcourt Refinery, describing it as a praiseworthy endeavor. He highlighted the significance of this action in the context of the broader measures being taken to address the challenges posed by subsidy removal in the country.
Additionally, Senator Sani called on the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to uphold its commitment to meeting the set December deadline. Emphasizing the importance of adherence to timelines, he underlined the need for consistency and efficiency in the execution of such crucial projects.
In his final remarks, Senator Sani extended his appreciation to the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), the entire management team, and the Federal Government for their roles in making the Port Harcourt Refinery operational once again. Looking ahead, he expressed optimism that similar efforts would be directed towards bringing the long-inactive Kaduna refinery, dormant for over a decade, back into operation.
