In a bid to propel Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) into the AfCFTA and global markets, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State advocates for support from both local and international investors.
At the 8th Lagos MSMEs Exclusive Trade Fair, themed ‘Empowering MSMEs for AfCFTA Excellence Through Sustainable Economic Growth,’ the governor highlighted the fair’s role as a cost-free marketing platform for entrepreneurs in the state.
Represented by Commissioner Folashade Ambrose-Medebem, he emphasized the sector’s crucial contribution to employment, wealth creation, and investment opportunities, urging investors to capitalize on MSME potential for economic growth.
The governor also expressed the government’s commitment to promoting locally-made products and services through the MSME sector, citing the fair’s significance in gathering valuable feedback for future planning and service enhancement.
