Enyinnaya Abaribe, former Minority Leader and Abia South Senator, expressed disappointment in the Supreme Court’s decision to deny the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Abaribe, in a statement by his Media Adviser, Uchenna Awom, deemed the ruling unfortunate and called on President Bola Tinubu’s administration to act swiftly in releasing Kanu for the sake of national cohesion and unity.
Abaribe emphasized the need for a solution that fosters the best outcome given the circumstances. He urged fellow Igbos not to lose hope in light of what he referred to as the “unfortunate outcome at the Supreme Court.”
“As leaders, we shall continue to press for a solution that will be the best in the circumstance,” Abaribe stated, highlighting the importance of addressing the situation for the greater unity of the country.
