Mohbad’s Case: Naira Marley Demands Apology and N500M from Iyabo Ojo Over Defamatory Claims

Marlian Music boss, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has alleged that actress Iyabo Ojo spread false and defamatory statements about him online.

In a letter dispatched to the actress by Naira Marley’s legal representative, Olalekan Ojo, the accusations made in a September 2023 Instagram post were outlined. The post in question claimed that Naira Marley was involved in both spiritual and physical dealings with the late singer Mohbad, and further accused him of causing mental harm to the deceased artist.

Naira Marley’s lawyer is seeking redress in the form of a public apology to be posted on Ojo’s Instagram page and published in a national daily. Additionally, a financial compensation of N500 million is demanded from the actress.

The letter concludes with a warning that failure to comply with these conditions will result in legal action being taken against Iyabo Ojo.
