The highly anticipated Abuja Metro Basketball Tournament, hosted by Africa Multicultural World Foundation, PCRC Youths & Diaspora Department, and Mo Arena, is set to welcome the esteemed presence of the Minister of Sports, John Enoh, on December 15. The event, endorsed and actively supported by the Minister, is expected to draw attention with the participation of numerous Nollywood stars and celebrities.
During a meeting in his office, Minister John Enoh expressed his endorsement for the tournament, affirming his commitment to active participation. The basketball competition will showcase elite players vying for the Africa Multicultural World Foundation MVP Title and serve as the official launch of the Sports arm of the organization.
The host for the evening, CEO of Africa Multicultural World Foundation and SSA Youths & Diaspora Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Amb. Dr. Krystal Chanchangi, will make a celebrity appearance. The tournament aims to promote sports culture, empower the next generation through skill development, and provide global exposure.
Highlighting the event will be the conferment of awards on deserving individuals, including notable Nollywood stars such as Uzee Usman, Yakubu Muhammad, Maryam Booth, AlexReports, and others. The festivities will take place at MO Arena, 43 Accra Street, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, starting at 6 pm.
The competition promises excitement with surprise half-time performances, the fusion of Nollywood and sports culture, and an award ceremony recognizing philanthropic contributors. Team registrations for the 2024 Abuja Metro Tournament have already commenced, offering a festive kickoff to the holiday season, as per organizers.
