The Earth is getting hotter, and it’s mainly because of things people do. Burning fossil fuels, cutting down forests, and farming a lot are causing more greenhouse gases, making the Earth warmer.
These gases, like carbon dioxide (CO2), methane, nitrous oxide, and fluorinated gases, act like a big blanket, trapping heat and making the Earth too warm. The Earth is heating up because of human actions, about 0.2°C more every ten years, which is really bad for the environment and people.
People around the world know we need to stop this from getting worse. They agree we should keep the temperature from going up too much, aiming for less than a 2°C increase and ideally staying below 1.5°C. CO2, a major part of the problem, has gone up by 48% since the old days (before factories and machines).
Different things people do, like burning fossil fuels and cutting down trees, make more emissions. This causes big problems. Cutting down trees means they can’t help soak up CO2, and animals like cows make gases like methane. Some gases, even if there’s not much of them, can make the Earth warm a lot, much more than CO2.
Fixing this problem needs everyone everywhere to do their part. We have to use cleaner energy, save forests, and change how we farm. Every little thing helps. Climate change is a big deal and affects everything, so countries and communities must work together fast to make things better.
Right now, it’s crucial to understand why this is happening and what we can do to make sure we have a good and strong future.
