Cardi B and Offset, the high-profile rap couple, have officially decided to part ways, marking the end of their romantic journey. The revelation came during a recent Instagram Live session where Cardi B candidly shared her feelings about the decision.
Despite having publicly gotten engaged in a grand on-stage proposal in October 2017, the couple opted for a more private wedding in Atlanta in September of the same year. Their union resulted in two children, a daughter named Kulture, aged 5, and a son named Wave, aged 2.
Cardi B revealed that she has been single for a while, dropping subtle hints along the way, but had struggled with how to share the news with the world. During the Live session, she expressed, “I’ve been single for a minute now, but I have been afraid to like… not afraid, I just don’t know how to tell the world. But I feel like today has been a sign.”
The catalyst for this decision was associated with online rumors involving Offset’s name in an infidelity allegation, which he vehemently denied on social media. Despite the swirling rumors, Cardi B chose not to delve into the details, asserting, “I don’t think it’s true, I don’t care to find out.” Instead, she emphasized her desire to move forward and focus on a fresh start in the coming year. “I want to start 2024, like, fresh, open. I don’t know. I’m curious for a new life, for a new beginning. And yeah, I’m excited.”
