President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, for the Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference.
His aircraft landed at the Air Force Base around 11:47 am, where he observed a brief military parade. Among those present to welcome him were Governor Babagana Zulum, former governor Ali Modu Sheriff, Minister of Defense Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Senator Ali Ndume, and other dignitaries.
President Tinubu is set to launch 100 buses acquired by the Borno State Government to mitigate the impact of the fuel subsidy removal on citizens. This event will follow his paying homage to the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai.
The President is expected to return to Abuja later today.
