The Ogun State Government has declared a N50 million reward for individuals who provide information leading to the arrest of the killers of its Director of Finance and Administration, Taiwo Oyekanmi. Oyekanmi, an accountant in the governor’s office, was fatally attacked on November 29 during a robbery targeting a bullion van carrying government funds in Abeokuta.
The announcement, signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, assures the public that any information provided will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. Despite the governor’s directive to security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators, no arrests have been made more than a week after the incident.
