The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has emphasized that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is dedicated to constructing a more just and equitable society for all Nigerians. Speaking at the National Advertising Conference in Abuja, Idris highlighted the influential role of marketing communications professionals in shaping public opinion and underscored the responsibility that comes with it.
Idris conveyed that Tinubu consistently shares his vision for a transformed Nigeria, focusing on justice and equity. He commended Tinubu’s willingness to take responsibility for tough decisions necessary for national progress, citing examples such as fuel subsidy adjustments, foreign exchange reforms, and fiscal changes.
The minister outlined Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, designed to achieve sustained inclusive economic growth, enhance national security, ensure food security through agricultural development, and promote sustainable development by harnessing energy and natural resources. He noted Tinubu’s decisive leadership style from the outset, evident in critical decisions regarding the fuel subsidy, foreign exchange, and fiscal reforms.
In line with the agenda, the administration is actively reforming the tax landscape and expanding the National Social Register to provide social welfare to the most vulnerable Nigerians, reflecting a comprehensive approach to national transformation.
