IGP Presents N63.3m Cheques to Families of Deceased Police Officers in Kogi

Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has demonstrated the Force’s commitment to supporting the families of officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Cheques amounting to N63,361,902.37k were presented to the next of kin of 30 deceased police officers in Kogi State. The presentation ceremony was carried out by the Commissioner of Police, Onuoha Bethrand, on behalf of the IGP.

 

In a statement released by the Kogi State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP William Ovye-Aya, on Thursday, it was highlighted that the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the IGP and the State Police Command for the support received. The families also assured the police of the judicious use of the financial assistance.

 

This initiative underscores the importance of acknowledging the sacrifices made by police officers and providing meaningful support to their families. The Inspector General’s commitment to honoring fallen officers and aiding their loved ones reflects a broader dedication to the welfare of the police force and the recognition of the challenges they face in ensuring public safety.
