NDLEA Seizes 478kg of Illicit Drugs, Arrests 90 in Kaduna State

In November, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Kaduna State seized 478 kilograms of various illicit drugs, as disclosed by the command’s spokesperson, Shuaibu Yusuf-Omale, in a statement on Tuesday. The recovered items encompassed cocaine, heroin, cannabis, tramadol, methamphetamine, and other psychotropic substances.

Yusuf-Omale also reported that the command apprehended 90 individuals during the specified period, including drug traffickers, sellers, and consumers. As part of the efforts to address the drug issue in Kaduna State through drug demand reduction activities, the command conducted several awareness programs across the state.

The objective was to educate the public on the negative consequences associated with drug use and illicit trafficking.
