Planned maintenance by the Transmission Company of Nigeria at its Kubwa substation will result in power outages in certain areas of the Federal Capital Territory on Monday. The General Manager of Public Affairs, TCN, Ndidi Mbah, announced this in a statement on Sunday night.

The maintenance of three 33kV feeders in Kubwa Substation is scheduled to take place from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Monday. As a result, power supply from Abuja Distribution Company to Kubwa, Bwari, and surrounding areas will be temporarily disrupted for maintenance purposes.

“The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) hereby informs the public about scheduled maintenance on three 33kV feeders in Kubwa Substation. The maintenance is set to take place on Monday, December 4, 2023, starting from 10:00 am and concluding at 5:00 pm.

As a result, there will be a temporary power interruption on the specified feeders, impacting the supply of electricity through AEDC to customers in Kubwa, Bwari, and surrounding areas for a duration of seven hours tomorrow.

Once the maintenance is successfully concluded, power supply will be restored to the affected areas promptly,” the statement declares.
