President Bola Tinubu made a significant entrance at the National Assembly complex on Wednesday to unveil the proposed 2024 budget in a joint sitting of the legislative body. Accompanied by ministers and top aides, Tinubu arrived just past 11 am and was warmly received into the temporary chamber of the House of Representatives, the designated venue for the budget presentation.
Marking a historic moment, the N27.5 trillion Appropriation Bill is the first budget to be presented by President Tinubu since he assumed office on May 29, 2023. The budget presentation ceremony commenced with the rendition of the National Anthem and opening prayers, signaling the initiation of the crucial legislative process for the financial year ahead.
