Former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, has leveled allegations against ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, asserting that he and his family were subjected to persecution for political reasons.
Lamido, speaking to Daily Trust, expressed his disappointment over the various forms of mistreatment endured during his political journey, attributing the challenges to Jonathan’s political agenda.
Despite facing humiliation, persecution, and legal accusations orchestrated by Jonathan, Lamido remains resolute in his focus on Nigeria. He emphasized the nation’s kindness since his political debut in 1979 and accused Jonathan of damaging his career and family life to advance personal political ambitions.
Lamido, undeterred by personal hardships, pledges to continue contributing to Nigeria as an expression of gratitude for the opportunities the country has provided him over the years.
