In a noteworthy assembly in Kano, more than 1,000 Islamic clerics congregated to extend special prayers for prominent political figures, including President Bola Tinubu and NNPP National Leader Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso. Facilitated by Honourable Abdulmumin Kofa, the gathering aimed to invoke divine favor for Kano State Governor Kabir Yusuf’s case at the Supreme Court, along with earnest prayers for peace, progress, and political stability across Nigeria.
Within the prayer session, the clerics recited the holy Qur’an 1,101 times, underscoring their collective plea for positive developments in the nation. Kofa, in his role as a political figure, openly acknowledged his close association with Tinubu and the guidance he has received from Kwankwaso. Notably, he expressed his dedication to fostering a cohesive relationship between the two leaders, highlighting the imperative of unity in the political arena.
Beyond the prayers and political considerations, Kofa highlighted the promising stance of the NNPP as a party and its willingness to collaborate, form alliances, or even merge with other political entities, including the APC and PDP, all in the pursuit of the greater good for Nigerians.
In a bid to address political tensions within Kano, Kofa pledged to leverage his political network to engage with key players and work towards resolving lingering issues. The emphasis on political stability and unity was complemented by a tangible display of commitment to education initiatives. Post-prayer, the legislator hosted 5,000 primary school children from his constituency, providing them with essential school kits.
