Wunmi, the widow of the late singer Mohbad, has underscored the necessity of conducting the DNA test requested by her father-in-law, James Aloba, to establish the true paternity of her son, Liam, both within Nigeria and the USA.

Notably, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo revealed this during an Instagram live session on Thursday, shedding light on the ongoing developments. The call for the DNA test comes in the wake of appeals from actress Tonto Dike and singer Bella Shmurda, urging the police to release Mohbad’s body for a dignified burial as the autopsy results were delayed.

Mohbad’s father, who has insisted on a DNA test in his presence, issued a stern warning against anyone taking possession of his son’s body without his authorization, emphasizing his pursuit of justice.

In response to these developments, Iyabo Ojo shared insights from her private phone conversation with Wunmi on Thursday. Wunmi clarified that her father-in-law’s lawyers have yet to formally contact her and her lawyer regarding the test. Stressing that the financial responsibility for the test won’t fall on her, Wunmi insisted that the DNA test must be conducted both in Nigeria and abroad.
