The Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal has removed Abubakar Suleiman, the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, from his position as the representative for Ningi Central Constituency in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
In its Friday judgment, the appellate court directed a rerun in 10 polling units within the constituency. Abubakar Suleiman, formerly the Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, faces this legal development.
