President Bola Tinubu has boldly declared that he deserves a place in the Guinness World Records, attributing his past accomplishments as the catalyst for his presidency.
Tinubu asserted that during his eight-year tenure as governor, he transformed Lagos State from ground zero to Africa’s fifth-largest economy. Speaking at the 10th German-Nigerian Business Forum in Berlin, he emphasized his intention to secure a spot in the Guinness World Records for his significant contributions.
Highlighting his background in the private sector and corporate governance, Tinubu emphasized his training at Deloitte and his role as the treasurer of Exxon Mobil. He proudly stated that Lagos State’s economic ascent positioned him for the presidency.
Addressing the audience, Tinubu stated, “Nigeria voted for me for reforms, and from day one of my inauguration, I started the reforms.” He expressed a determination to be recognized for his achievements, declaring, “if you didn’t mention me in the Guinness Book of Records, I’d thrive to find a way to insert myself because I did it without expectation, my inaugural speech disclosed what I would do.”
