Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has strongly refuted recent allegations circulating that judges received a $5 million bribe to overturn his election victory, describing the claims as “baseless and defamatory.” In an official statement released by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, the governor condemned the publication and attributed it to the deliberate actions of detractors seeking to create discord between him and the judiciary.

Governor Mutfwang expressed deep concern over the matter and called for thorough investigations by security agencies to identify and apprehend those responsible for the libellous publication. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that individuals behind such misconduct face the full consequences of the law to discourage similar actions.

He said, “Those disparaging the justices and respected leaders should desist from their destructive activities immediately or face the severe consequences of their actions.”

The governor dismissed the report as fabrications orchestrated by individuals manipulated as pawns by the opposition party in Plateau State. He viewed this as an attempt to tarnish the image of the PDP government in the state but affirmed his unwavering support for the judiciary.

Reaffirming his unwavering support for the judiciary, Governor Mutfwang warned that “those disparaging the justices and respected leaders should desist from their destructive activities immediately or face the severe consequences of their actions.”
