Former England international Danny Mills has shared insights into the potential destination for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, speculating that the shot-stopper could join Premier League rival Chelsea if he opts to leave the Emirates in the near future.

Ramsdale has faced a challenge in retaining his status as Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper since the arrival of David Raya on loan from Brentford. The England international has found himself on the sidelines, not playing a league match since Raya made his debut for the Gunners.

With the January transfer window on the horizon, transfer speculations surround Ramsdale, with Newcastle United reportedly expressing interest in acquiring his services. However, Danny Mills casts doubt on a move to Eddie Howe’s side.

“Chelsea probably, because I think Eddie Howe is loyal to his players. And I don’t think Howe would do that to Nick Pope mid-season,” Mills commented, suggesting that a mid-season transfer to Newcastle might not align with Howe’s principles.

Mills raised concerns about potential disruptions and the impact on team dynamics if Ramsdale were to make a move to Newcastle during the season. Instead, he envisions Chelsea as a more likely destination for the goalkeeper.

As the transfer window approaches, the fate of Aaron Ramsdale remains uncertain, and the football community eagerly awaits developments that could reshape the goalkeeper’s career in the Premier League.
