Ghastly Accident Claims Lives of 2 LAWMA Officials in Lagos

Two female employees of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) tragically died on Monday when their car was hit by a car on the way to Gbagada, Lagos State, close to the Charlie Boy neighborhood. The sad accident occurred as they were performing their responsibilities.

An eyewitness named Sodiq, described it as a ghastly accident. According to Sodiq, the two LAWMA women, yet to be identified, tragically lost their lives at the accident scene.

Sodiq shared, “It was a ghastly accident, two LAWMA women were just knocked down to death by a Sienna vehicle while they were carrying out their duty. We are yet to know what went wrong with the driver; he just drove straight here and hit the two women. It is a pity, and we pray that their souls rest in peace. Our condolences to their families. The driver has been arrested and handed over to the police.”

The driver involved in the incident has been apprehended, and law enforcement authorities are conducting further investigations.
