President Bola Tinubu has expressed his unwavering commitment to reshaping the narrative of Nigeria for the betterment of its citizens. Speaking to journalists after the culmination of the lesser Hajj, Umrah, in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday, Tinubu outlined his administration’s determination to bring about positive change through a series of reforms, programs, and policies aimed at benefiting the nation’s populace.

“The country’s potential has yet to fully bloom to the required level, and it demands hard work and consistent prayers from each and every one of us. We are dedicated to leveraging our strengths to unlock this potential for the collective benefit of all Nigerians,” stated Tinubu. He expressed gratitude for the guidance, blessings, and answers to prayers for both himself and the nation, emphasizing the need for collective efforts in seeking the nation’s well-being.

Tinubu’s stay in Makkah involves being hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a special cleric from the King’s palace guiding him in the circumambulation of the Kaaba. Sheikh Dakilullah Al-Makky, the appointed cleric, and Sheik Abdulwahab Suleiman, the Imam of the State House Mosque, conducted prayers at the conclusion of the over two-hour ritual, which included circumambulating the Kaaba seven times and traversing between Safa and Marwa seven times.

Noteworthy figures, including the governors of Bauchi, Niger, and Katsina states, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, and the NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer, participated in the ritual alongside President Tinubu.

Tinubu’s presence in Saudi Arabia coincides with the Saudi-Africa summit, attended by leaders and business representatives from both regions.
