Former President Muhammadu Buhari has conveyed his congratulations to the All Progressives Congress (APC) for emerging victorious in the recent gubernatorial elections held in Imo and Kogi states. Governor Hope Uzodinma secured the Imo governorship, while Usman Ododo triumphed in the Kogi governorship polls, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement released on Monday through his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Buhari expressed deep gratitude to the people of Imo and Kogi for reaffirming their trust in the APC. The former president extended appreciation to the dedicated leaders and party members who played pivotal roles in securing the re-election of Senator Hope Uzodimma for a second term in Imo State and the election of Alhaji Usman Ododo as the new Governor of Kogi State.
Buhari concluded his statement by extending his best wishes to the newly elected governors, expressing confidence in their abilities to lead their respective states.
