Shreyas Iyer played a pivotal role, top-scoring with an unbeaten 128 from 94 balls, while KL Rahul completed a century in the final over before being dismissed for 102. Rahul’s hundred in 62 balls marked the fastest by an Indian batter at a World Cup, and his fourth-wicket partnership of 208 with Iyer ensured a dominant Indian performance.
Reflecting on the team’s strategy, India’s captain Rohit Sharma emphasized the importance of taking one game at a time. He stated, “It’s important for us to break it down and focus on one game and play it well. That’s what everyone did. We’ve been very clinical from game one until today.
