The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State on Sunday has started a protest in Yenagoa as a clear sign of disapproval. The protesters are presently making their way towards the Swali Road office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to voice their strong disapproval of the incorporation of the results of the governorship election from Brass Local Government Area (LGA) into the current collation process.

Sources indicate that the protesters are specifically demanding that the results from Brass LGA not be brought to the state INEC office for collation. The rationale behind this demand remains a focal point of the demonstration, reflecting the heightened tensions and concerns surrounding the electoral process in Bayelsa State.

The protest adds a layer of complexity to the post-election atmosphere, shedding light on the intricacies of political dynamics within the state. The specific objections raised by PDP supporters highlight the perceived significance of the Brass LGA results and the potential implications for the overall outcome of the governorship election.

As the protesters make their way towards the INEC office, the situation warrants close attention from both electoral officials and the public. The unfolding events underscore the challenges and sensitivities involved in ensuring a fair and transparent collation process, with the potential to impact the credibility of the election results.
