The Nigerian government has officially agreed into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, marking an important step toward partnership in the oil and gas sector. Nneamaka Okafor, special assistant on media and communication, issued a statement on Thursday on behalf of Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), emphasizing the two countries’ shared commitment to strengthening cooperation.
The statement highlighted the gravity of this bilateral agreement, emphasizing that the Honorable Minister for State Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri PhD, and the Energy Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, personally signed the MoU. This move signifies a dedicated effort to establish a robust framework for collaboration and reinforces the commitment to advancing mutual interests in the oil and gas sector.
Mr Abdulaziz bin Salman, signing on behalf of Saudi Arabia, expressed optimism about the far-reaching impacts of this strategic alliance on both countries’ energy landscapes.
