Samuel Anyanwu, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate in the Imo gubernatorial election, has vehemently dismissed rumors suggesting his withdrawal from the race in favor of Hope Uzodinma, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate. The denial comes in response to a viral video circulating on social media, purportedly showing Anyanwu urging his supporters to vote for Uzodinma.
Anyanwu’s spokesperson has refuted the claims, labeling the information as categorically false. The statement reads, “We emphatically state that this information is categorically FALSE. After a thorough examination of the video, it became evident that it was heavily edited with manipulated audio to mislead the public.”
