Governor Fubara Pledges Allegiance to Wike, Calls for Unity Amidst Recent Political Turbulence

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of River state pointed out the resolution of the recent political issue by assuring the people of his steadfast loyalty to Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, in the aftermath of recent political unrest in the State. Governor Fubara denies any role in destroying reputations through recruitment and encourages the population to move past the discomfort produced by current political tensions.

Addressing the public at the 2023/2024 legal year rededication service, Governor Fubara emphasizes the significance of unity and invites the community to join his administration in fostering continuous peace and development in the state. In a statement released by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Boniface Onyedi, Governor Fubara acknowledges the challenges faced during the recent crisis and underscores the need to identify and overcome obstacles for the progress of the state.

Expressing gratitude for the support of Rivers’ people, Governor Fubara underscores the pivotal role of peace in paving the way for progress. In a gesture of commitment, he pledges N50 million for the launch of a book titled “History of Rivers State Judiciary, A Compendium of Personalities on the Bench.”

During the rededication service, Bishop Emmanuel Oko-Jaja delivers a sermon encouraging judicial officers to overcome the spirit of fear through trust in God. He emphasizes the importance of fearlessly upholding the truth in the discharge of their duties. The message resonates with Governor Fubara’s call for unity and underscores the collective responsibility in ensuring a harmonious and progressive future for Rivers State.
