Hon. Muhammed Danasabe Muhammed, the Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Council, has unfortunately died. The startling episode occurred at 4:30 a.m. at a hospital in Lokoja, the state capital, where he had been brought after collapsing.

The untimely demise of Hon. Muhammed comes on the eve of the gubernatorial election scheduled for November 11, 2023, in Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa states. Despite this unfortunate loss, security authorities have assured the public of a smooth, free, and fair electoral process as citizens exercise their right to vote.

The late Chairman had actively participated in political meetings and preparations for Saturday’s governorship election, making his sudden departure even more poignant. A family member, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that doctors confirmed his clinical death around 4:30 am on Friday after he was rushed to the hospital.

Hon. Muhammed, hailing from ward B in the cantonment area of Lokoja, leaves behind grieving family members, including his mother, wife, and children.
