“The reported plan involves pressuring Fubara’s deputy, Professor Ngozi Odu, to resign and then installing another Ikwerre individual as the state’s governor. Clark vehemently opposes this plan and vows to prevent its execution”, he eleder statesman said.

The elder statesman asserted that such an attempt will not be tolerated. He has called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene by urging Nyesom Wike and the security agencies in Rivers State to restore order and prevent a looming crisis.

The situation escalated further with the recent arson attack on the Rivers State House of Assembly, a disturbing incident believed to be linked to the broader destabilization scheme. Governor Fubara himself experienced confrontation, including tear gas deployment and threats, when he visited the Assembly Complex following the incident.
