Engineer Michael Oluwagbemi, the Programme Director/Chief Executive of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative spearheaded by President Bola Tinubu, is expressing strong optimism about the potential of this venture to stimulate job creation and economic growth. The initiative, focused on CNG, holds promise for bolstering employment opportunities and inflation reduction in the country.

Oluwagbemi, during the handover ceremony of CNG Buses at the State House on Friday.

He said “Nigerians are looking forward to a cleaner, cheaper means of transportation. And Mr President building on the legacies of his predecessor is ensuring all Nigerians get transportation that they need.

“Nigeria is a gas country with very few, smaller quantities of crude oil. So, he wants to make sure than the Nigerian public is not subjected to the price of international conflagration occasioned by crude oil.”

He emphasized that a well-executed CNG initiative could create a substantial number of jobs in various sectors, ranging from CNG production and distribution to the conversion of vehicles to CNG compatibility.
